FREQUENTLY Asked questions

1-2 hours seems like WAY too much- how will my kid keep their cool for that long?

Good news, they don’t have to! One of the biggest reasons for having longer session times is to allow for the snack breaks, tears, and potty breaks that little ones often need. Nothing stresses parents, and kids, like being on a tight timetable and being desperate for good moods and smiles. Longer sessions also allow plenty of time for kids to get comfortable in front of the camera and a new person. Building trust with little ones can take time, so let’s not make them feel rushed.

My house isn’t pinterest cute, but I’d still like to have photos there. CAn you make it happen?

Totally! As someone who is still slowly DIYing their own house and lives with 4 boys, I understand that home can be chaotic at times. The biggest necessity for in-home sessions is great window light, so we will work together to pick a time where your house is really going to shine (see what I did there?) in the spaces you love the most. It’s worth mentioning- homes are meant for living, so crumbs and socks and yesterdays mail are all to be expected.

Where is your studio?

I don’t have a studio of my own, but rent at multiple locations in DFW. Lumen Room, TX studio, Artist Uprising, The Space on South Side- just to name a few! The best part, we can work together to pick a location that is convenient for you!

ok, ok, ok-BUT what do I even wear?

Outfit choices can definitely be one of the more intimidating parts of family photos- so many people and so many choices. I’m here to help! I have an outfit guide that I’ll send your way after booking that will hopefully answer any nagging questions, and am always happy to consult on specifics. I can be your big sister metaphorically sitting on the edge of your bed, being a little bit bossy in a nice way!
